Subgroup

What are Subgroup?​

Subgroups are identifiers for food that can help with sorting and organization of products for dietary restrictions and other health/food-based restrictions. By including these Subgroups and tagging them to products, your company can keep track of what Subgroups of food are in which items and what you are handing out to people.

  1. Click on Configuration on the main navigation menu. Locate Master and click on it.

  2. Find the recipe manager tab and click on it.

  3. A new screen appears which shows the list of all the core recipe manager master tables. Locate the one which says Subgroup and click on it.

  4. This will open a screen where you can see all of the active and inactive Subgroup which are setup for your company.

Add a new Subgroup​

  1. Click the Add button on the top right side of the screen.

  2. The system will open a popup screen in which you can fill in the following fields

    Mandatory fields are indicated by the * next to the name

    1. Subgroup name*: Provide the name of the Subgroup here.
    2. Description: Provide the description of the Subgroup here.
    3. Subgroup code: This code is automatically generated.

  3. Click the save button. The Subgroup will be active by default.

Modify or change status of Subgroup​

Modify Subgroup​

  1. Click on the pencil icon next to the Subgroup that you would like to modify.

  2. You may make changes to the Subgroup name regardless of whether the Subgroup is currently referenced throughout the system.

Change status of Subgroup​

  1. If you would like to change the status of an existing Subgroup to active or inactive, you will first need to look at the “change status” Column where you will find either a grey or green shaded circle.

  2. Click on the circle to either activate or deactivate the Subgroup.

    Note

    If the Subgroup is already mapped in the system, you cannot deactivate the Subgroup until you unmap it everywhere in your system. If this kind of modification is needed you may need to reach out to technical services to discuss the situation and they can direct you further

  3. You will be presented with a menu where you will be asked if you want to activate or deactivate the specified Subgroup.

  4. Click yes to save your changes.
