📄️ Menu Overview

The Menu module is the core of CulinarySuite. In addition to menu planning tools, the Menu module provides important data for forecasting, inventory management and purchasing.

There are multiple ways for which to create menus in CulinarySuite. You can choose from a Concept Menu, Repeat Cycle Menu or Monthly Menu. If you are creating similar menus or you want to upload menu templates, you can utilize our Suggested Menu option to add a preset menu for your locations. This user manual will walk you through how to create, configure, and personalize your menus.

📄️ Add Menu Items Using Advanced Search

1. Select an any menu day on the monthly calendar and you will be taken to "Add Recipe To Menu" page.

📄️ Create a Food Bar

Food bars are made to order entrees. For example, a made-to-order sandwich can be made with any assortment of ingredients that are available, however the output is a sandwich entrée. Essentially these are entrees that can be built from a selection of individual ingredients. You will be able to utilize any of the products or recipes that are associated to the food bar (if they are available to your account).

📄️ Create a Concept Menu

A concept menu is a station based format that will display by week. In this format, each row represents a station and each column represents a day. Each page will display a week's worth of information. If your location was setup to create a concept menu in the location menu setup screen then you can follow the steps below to create one:

Creating a Suggested Menu is like creating a template. You will utilize all the same features that a monthly, concept, or repeat cycle uses in order to create a template for a faster menu creation process across all of your LOBs.

1. On the Menu Month View screen, click the Print Specs button (left side). A popup screen will appear.

A new menu type ‘STATIC Menu’ is available for the selection in the Menu Type field and up on selection of ‘CYCLE Menu’ menu type will display a mandatory value in the Program type field as ‘REGULAR’.

There are two types of production records that the system will generate depending on the type of menu that you are using. If you are using a Monthly menu, the system will generate one page per location/meal period/day (with a separate page for food bars – if applicable). Concept menus will generate one page per concept/location/meal period/day (food bars items will be displayed on the same page as the concept that they are associated to).
