Menu Overview
The Menu module is the core of CulinarySuite. In addition to menu planning tools, the Menu module provides important data for forecasting, inventory management and purchasing.
Menu processes include:
Create a monthly, repeat cycle, and concept menu (including adding text, images, cut and paste, etc.)
Create a Suggested Menu and upload it to your menu
Create a food bar on the menu
Format a menu (add text, connector text, images)
Utilize marketing promotions
Create a PDF or post to the web
Print signage
Print product specifications
Set up service line production records
Enter production records (web)
ADP and forecasting
This user guide focuses on the tasks needed to effectively navigate within the Menu module.
Keep in Mind:
Menu choices and ADP will drive the purchasing process—be mindful when creating your forecast
Items suggested to purchase are taken from the ingredients in the recipes on the menu
Switching ingredients in a recipe impacts the cost and nutritional value; as well as inventory and purchasing since the items suggested to purchase are taken from the ingredients used in the menu recipes.
The types of menus, availability of menus, programs, number of weekdays or number of rows on menus that a specific location can use are configurable. This can be setup in the location menu setup. This setup must be done before a user can create a menu.
