📄️ Recipe Workflow
After creating a recipe for the first time or editing certain fields of a recipe, the system will ask you to submit this recipe to workflow. The purpose of this activity is to allow the relevant parties to review and validate the recipe before it is produced. The actors and flow of creating a recipe is defined in the Workflow module (which is explained in greater detail in the workflow user guide). Below is an example of the actors and approvers in a typical recipe creation workflow:
📄️ Edit Recipe
After a recipe is created you can edit it by clicking on the pencil icon next to the recipe. You will be able to edit any field except for the recipe code and the recipe type. Please note that changing some fields will put the recipe in workflow and require the workflow to be completed before the new version of the recipe can be utilized. Until that step is done, users will be able to utilize the original version of the recipe. Edits that will put the recipe into workflow include:

It is sometimes necessary to add or replace ingredients in mass in recipes. Whether that reason is because an existing product is no longer able be sourced or a new product is being used, this add/replace feature can be used to update multiple recipes.
