Recipe Type

What is Recipe Type?​

Recipe Type helps tell users whether a product is a finished meal or a sub recipe. Since all inputs are added to the system as products, classifying them further would allow us to categorize and organize inputs to the system and make recipes more thorough.

  1. Click on Configuration on the main navigation menu. Locate Master and click on it.

  2. Find the recipe manager tab and click on it.

  3. A new screen appears which shows the list of all the core master tables. Locate the one which says Recipe Type and click on it.

  4. This will open a screen where you can see all of the active and inactive Recipe Type which are setup for your company.

Add a new Recipe Type​

  1. Click the Add button on the top right side of the screen.

  2. The system will open a popup screen in which you can fill in the following fields

    Mandatory fields are indicated by the * next to the name

    1. Recipe Type*: Provide a name for the Recipe Type here.
    2. Description: Provide a description of the Recipe Type here.
    3. Recipe Type code: This code is automatically generated.

  3. Click the save button. The Recipe Type will be active by default.

Modify or change status of Recipe Type​

  1. Click on the pencil icon next to the Recipe Type that you would like to modify.

  2. You may make changes to the Recipe Type regardless of whether the Recipe Type is currently referenced throughout the system.

Change status of Recipe Type​

  1. If you would like to change the status of an existing Recipe Type to active or inactive, you will first need to look at the “change status” Column where you will find either a grey or green shaded circle.

  2. Click on the circle to either activate or deactivate the Recipe Type.

    Note

    If the Recipe Type is already mapped in the system, you cannot deactivate the Recipe Type until you unmap it everywhere in your system. If this kind of modification is needed you may need to reach out to technical services to discuss the situation and they can direct you further

  3. You will be presented with a menu where you will be asked if you want to activate or deactivate the specified Recipe Type.

  4. Click yes to save your changes.
